Lanett Tachel is a true multi-hyphenate. She’s an Actress, Writer, and Producer (SAG/ W.G.A/p.g.a.) from Prince George’s County Maryland, who’s driven by her love of performing, creating, and producing roles that feature layered and multi faceted African American characters in front of and behind the camera.
After landing the role of ‘Dorothy’ in the Wizard of Oz while in elementary, Lanett was clear on the career she wanted. After receiving her BFA from Howard University, she moved to Los Angeles and served as a consultant to the legendary Ed Weinberger (Taxi, The Cosby Show) on the series, BELLE’S, starring Keith David and Ella Joyce. Lanett later earned a title role on the show and learned the valuable lesson of creating her own work. Following the series, Lanett went on to produce an award winning short, ‘SISTER SISTER SISTER’ followed by a series of narrative driven videos for a Universal Recording Artist. She then went on to co-write and Produce the Suspense/Thriller Feature-‘ILLICIT’ which released theatrically and on streaming platforms. She co-created/wrote/produced the comedic single cam series, ‘PUMP,’ where she also stars alongside Ray J, Jennifer Freeman, Michael Jai White and more.
She then served as Lead Producer and Writer on the Fox/Mar Vista thriller, TWISTED DATE, currently #1 on the Tubi platform. But Lanett is most excited for the release of her film ANGIE’S CURE, (psychological thriller) where she serves as writer, producer, and the title character. “This film speaks to me like nothing I’ve ever been a part of.” Angie’s Cure just won the GRAND JURY PRIZE at the Dances With Films Festival on June, 27th 2023. The film also received the BEST NARRATIVE FEATURE award at the San Antonio Black International Film Festival where Tachel received the award for best actress. Tachel lives by the motto, “Don’t Wait, Create” and can’t wait for the world to see what she’s setting up next.
BUDDHA PRATT- POST SUPERVISOR
Brian “Buddha” Pratt originally hails from the Washington, DC area, his professional career started in world of PBS. While working for a PBS, he received two Emmy Nominations and two Cine Awards for his work as a producer and editor.
His professional experience encompasses Feature films and trailers, web series and commercials. He has have recently worked for companies such as Nike, Tastemade, Pilgrim Media, The Famous Group, All Def Digital, and Saturday Night Live, and his work can be seen in perpetuity in the halls of such timeless places as The College Football Hall of Fame, The National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel and the George W. Bush Presidential Library.
CHEVEZ FRAZIER: VP OF OPERATIONS
Native Chicagoan, Chevez Frazier, is a producer / partner of New Breed Entertainment. He has to his producing credit four (5) full length feature films. Chevez met New Breed Entertainment’s founder, writer / director Corey Grant, in 2004 and teamed up with him for the first time on ‘STUDIO: Hip Hop Task Force Volume II’ (2006). After ‘Studio’, they went on to produce ‘Dysfunctional Friends’ (2010), ‘BIGFOOT: The Lost Coast Tapes’ (2011) and ‘Illicit’ (2016) Playing a key role in the development of his no nonsense, pragmatic approach to producing is his background in law enforcement with state government and compliance department experience with a major investment firm.
